I acknowledge and accept the participation waiver on behalf of the named child (children) and consent to the above-named of child (children) participating in the skiing activities of the Ben Lomond Committee and will ensure that skiing is within their capability, they attend appropriately prepared and will obey the directions given by the organisers or the responsible person. I will advise the organisers if the child is taking any medication or has any physical or other limitations that might affect their participation in any skiing activity.
In voluntarily participating in any activity on Ben Lomond and organised by the Ben Lomond Ski Association I am aware that this may expose us to risk that could lead to injury, illness, death or loss of or damage to property. I accept that the organisers are untrained volunteers who organise activities commensurate with my being self-reliant. I accept full responsibility for ensuring our own well-being and will cooperate with others to ensure I do not put anyone at increased risk.
Risks may include but are not limited to slippery, loose and / or uneven surfaces, rocks being dislodged, falling at edges of cliffs or drops or elsewhere, foul weather, snow, ice, strong wind, hypothermia, heat exhaustion, being lost and have poor or no communication. I am aware of and accept there may be no first aid available.
To minimise these risks I will endeavour to ensure: that any activity in which I participate is within my capabilities and that I have equipment appropriate for the activity. I agree to advise the event organisers if I am taking any medication or have any physical or other limitations that might affect my participation in any skiing activity. I will make every effort to remain with the group during any skiing event and accept instructions from the organisers of the activity.
I have read or heard and understand the requirements, I have considered the risks. I still wish to participate in the activities of the Ben Lomond Committee. I agree to waive any claim for damage, loss, injury or death arising from any activity that I, my executors and assigns may have against the committee, the organisers or other participants in tort or contract.
